6 gallon bucket of Magnum Sealitup SLOW moving tire puncture sealant. THIS IS THE BUCKET OF SEALANT ONLY, IT DOES NOT INCLUDE A PUMP. THE SPECIAL PUMP IS SOLD SEPARATELY. This is for SLOW MOVING tires that are not used on the highway such as lawn and garden tires, atv, farm tires, backhoes, bobcats, etc, if it runs down the highway this is not for it. Also NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ALUMINUM WHEELS. This is a professional grade heavy duty tire puncture sealant used by tire shops including ours. This sealant contains a high volume of cotton fibers which is what plugs up the holes and allows the sealer to actually stop the leak. It is latex based and noncorrosive, it cleans up with water and will not eat up wheels like aerosol canned fix a flat sealers. It can be used in tubeless tires or in tubes. IT NEEDS TO BE PUMPED IN THROUGH THE VALVE STEM WITH VALVE CORE REMOVED, THE PUMP IS NOT INCLUDED IT IS SOLD SEPARATELY. Each stoke of the applicator pump we sell applies approx 8 oz, 1 gal = 128 oz. We typically put a couple pumps in small mower tires, 3 pumps in atv tires, 4-5 in farm tractor implements tires or bobcat tires. An application chart is on the back of the bucket. You can pour it into a tubeless tire prior to mounting but the pump is really how it is supposed to be applied and only way to get it into a tube.
Some things you should know about tire sealants: They are a better preventative than a fix for a flat after the fact, the best flat is the one you didn't have or thanks to the sealer never knew you had! You want to put it in a new tire when the tire is first installed to prevent downtime and flats from small thorn holes. Then if you do have a flat you air it up and run it to spread the sealer around in the tire and allow it to work. It DOES NOT fix any and all holes, no sealer guarantees you will never have a flat! They only work in slow moving tires meaning nothing that runs down the highway at highway speeds I don't care what Slime says it won't fix a car or truck tire! They are marketed for holes up to 1/4" but that depends on the shape and location of the puncture etc, they work best for small pinholes like thorns and briars. They will only stop up holes behind the tread area, it is spread inside the tire by centrifugal force as it rolls, sealers will do nothing to stop bead leaks or leaks high up on the sidewalls because it does not reach those areas as the tire turns. They are not very effective in cold or freezing temperatures, they do contain antifreeze agents but clump and do not flow to stop the leaks in very cold or freezing temperatures. They do help slow the natural air loss all tires experience by coating the tire on the inside.
