Bag of 100 standard GREEN plastic tire valve stem caps. The green cap is installed whenever a tire is nitrogen filled to indicate that it has been nitrogen filled to servicing technicians.
People have been asking if these have a rubber seal down in the cap. No they do not, they have a flat machined surface down inside that butts up against the end of the stem threads. Everyone thinks the ones with the separate seal are better when actually in my personal experience from over 35 years in the business repairing tires is that the opposite is true. The caps ONLY job is keep dirt out so it doesn't clog the core or get forced into the core and under the under the core seat when adding air with a chuck. On caps with the seal that seal will mushroom if the cap is over tightened and can make contact with the core plunger. The seals also stick to the end of the stem when the cap is taken off and then you lose them. They will also depress the plunger if they get turned sideways down in the cap and you don't see it and screw the cap on. When that happens they depress the core plunger and open the core slightly causing the tire to slowly seep down and you are left taking a tire off looking for a slow leak and chasing ghosts because it only leaks when the cap is screwed on. Everyone always leak checks tires in the dunk tank with cap off so they can check for leaking valve cores and will have a time figuring out a turned cap seal is the cause. The valve core parts are plated and made to take air with moisture and what tiny bit of moisture trapped between the cap and core when the cap is screwed on would be insignificant anyway. Seal or no seal a plastic cap will not hold back the pressure in the tire if a valve core leaks.
